Our busy Ophthalmology and Esthetics Clinic is currently seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our highly skilled team.
Duties and Responsibilities for this position:
- Able to work effectively as a team member and individually
- Multi-Line telephone communication with patients.
- Experience using an EMR
- Scheduling appointments
- Clerical Support
- Assist with data collection
- Booking surgical appointments & coordinating appointments with other clinics.
Qualifications:
- Medical Office Administration Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience as a receptionist/secretary in a health care operation.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and expertise with patient interaction.
- Ability to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure.
- Computer proficient, well versed with Medical Terminology
- Experience using Meditech or related program will be an asset

- Provide counseling and recommendations with respect to procedures and technology available at Patodia Eye Institute
- Promote Patodia Eye Institute’s technology appropriately, based on internal protocols
- Provide superior customer service and patient care
- Use appointment and patient file software, patient charts and other available tools to make accurate and clear notes regarding patient eye health
- Be accountable for the quality and accuracy of all testing and charting completed
- Staying aware and understanding changes made to protocols, procedures, product and the services we offer
- Assist in special projects, as needed
- Any other tasks as per required by the Center Director or management team
REQUIRED SKILLS
While no previous experience is required as we provide all on the job training the following skills are a must:
- Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm
- Superior communication skills, particularly verbal, with excellent “bedside manner”, professionalism, and active listening
- Excellent presentation skills, with an ability to adapt to variety of patient types
- Patience, approachability and calm demeanor
- Ability to manage patient expectations and concerns
- Engaging and outgoing personality
- Very organized, with attention to detail
- Adapt well to often-changing environment, manage personal stress
- Team-oriented and collaborative, demonstrate a willingness to learn and also coach others
- Organized and efficient with sense of initiative

We are looking for an Optometrist to join us at Patodia Eye Institute in Sarnia, Ontario to provide the highest standard of eye services for our patients. Someone who is passionate about delivering the best health care and achieving the optimal outcomes for patients.
Looking for long term associate for well-established ophthalmology office in Sarnia Ontario Canada. Comprehensive practice deals with all ophthalmologic pathology. Very active Dry Eye clinic, Lasik and Laser Cataract Surgery provided at onsite ASC.
Associate in conjunction with ophthalmologist will manage all patients with anterior segment and posterior segment pathology. Most patients will have initial work up by ophthalmic technicians. Little to no routine eye exams. No dispensary onsite. Successful candidate must have Ontario license and OHIP billing number.
Duties and Abilities:
- Complete documentation and correspondence related to patient medical record in a timely manner.
- Report any issues or patient complaints to the Ophthalmologist
- Ensure accuracy of individual patient diagnostic and procedure codes on clinical billing.
- Provide post-operative care for eye surgery patients
